Rapid multiplication of chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflom Tzvelev) through in vitro culture

Abstract

A study was conducted to establish a protocol for large scale clonal propagation of chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflom Tzvelev) cv. Co.l. The frequncy of multiple shoot regeneration response was 95% and 80% for nodal segments and shoot tips, when cultured on the media containing MS+ 20 mg/l BAP +1.0 mg/l IB A. In vitro raised plantlets were successfully transfrred to potting media and got established in the main field.
