Abstract

The implant–supported prosthesis is an attractive alternative to the conventional removable denture. Implant placement surgery is relatively simple to perform, takes less time and improves retention and stability of the prosthesis. An implant retained over denture retained with two implants placed in the anterior edentulous mandible is a simple and predictable treatment option. Over dentures have been shown to improve the quality of life for edentulous patients and have contributed significantly to the patient's psychological well being. The present case describes direct prosthetic technique for implant supported over denture using old prosthesis of the patient.
