Pyogenic granuloma is thought to represent an exuberant tissue response to local irritation or trauma. Clinically, these lesions usually present as sessile or pedunculated nodule with smooth or lobulated surface. They may range in size from a few millimeters to several centimeters. Pyogenic granuloma of the oral cavity is known to involve the gingiva commonly. Rarely, it may present itself in an extragingival location. The purpose of this article is to report two unusual cases of extragingival pyogenic granuloma on the tongue.
