Restoration of Digital Defect with Glove Type Silicone Finger Prosthesis – Case Report

Partial or complete loss of body parts pose a major setback in a person's life as it affects both function and esthetics of an individual. Digital defects which occur due to traumatic injuries cause functional deficit in individuals and cause social embarrassment. The placement of a good finger prosthesis serves as a great social and cosmetic benefit for the patient.

This article describes a technique of custom fabricated, colour matched finger prosthesis made from silicone elastomers.
