Cutaneous Sinus Tract of Dental Origin: A Case Report

A cutaneous sinus tract of dental origin is relatively uncommon but well documented. Its diagnosis is not always easy as dental symptoms are many times absent in these cases. Such patients undergo treatments ranging from antibiotic therapies to surgical excision and biopsies, but land up with recurrences. It is simply because the primary etiology is not diagnosed correctly. A case having an extraoral sinus on the chin which was treated by family physician, dermatologist and surgeon with no effect was treated by endodontic therapy. Reults of treatment were seen within a week.
