Pulpotomy is indicated for those teeth exhibiting signs of coronal pulp inflammation and viable radicular pulp. This study was designed to compare the efficacy of formocresol, glutaraldehyde and electrosurgical pulpotomy in sixty primary molars for six months with one, three and six month interval by clinical and radiographic evaluation. The results of the study showed that at final assessment, the success rate was 94.4% in Formocresol and Glutaraldehyde groups whereas the success rate in Electrosurgery group was 89.5%. It was concluded from the study that electrosurgical pulpotomy can be used as an alternative method to formocresol and glutaraldehyde pulpotomy mainly because of its distinct advantages like nonpharmacological nature, ease of use and favourable results.
