Implications of Nanotechnology in Dentistry

Nanodentistry is the future of dentistry in which every procedure will be performed using equipment and devices based on nanotechnology. Growing interest in the future dental applications of nanotechnology is leading to the emergence of a new field called nanodentistry. Using a combination of nanomedicine and biotechnology in dentistry, it will become possible to replace teeth in a single procedure with ultimate precision and correctness. All diagnoses and treatments will be given using nanoscale-structured materials, nanorobots and thus near perfect oral health could be achieved. In the present review importance and application of nanotechnology in various branches of dentistry has been explained.
