Abstract

Oral mucositis is a clinically important and sometimes dose-limiting complication of cancer therapy. Mucositis lesions are painful, affect nutrition and quality of life and often hamper continuity of the treatment modality. The pathogenesis of oral mucositis is multifactorial and complex. This is a review paper which discusses various aspects a clinician should know in management of mucositis.
