Abstract

Tongue tie or ankyloglossia is a developmental condition which occurs due to an abnormally short or anteriorly positioned lingual frenum. Usually, the patient is unable to protrude the tongue past the edge of the lower gingiva or mandibular incisors. We report two cases of ankyloglossia presenting with the characteristic signs and symptoms of the anomaly, along with a brief review of literature.
