Simple bone cysts have been a pathological entity which is of great interest because of their asymptomatic nature and oral and maxillofacial radiologist may be the first person to detect it during routine radiographic examination. Most of these lesions occur during the first 2 decades of life, which is common in mandibular posterior region and are usually asymptomatic. A case of traumatic bone cyst occurring rarely in the mandibular anterior region is presented, which was treated by surgical exploration, light curettage and primary closure with long term follow up.
