Class II malocclusion has high prevalence in Indian population. Treatment of class II malocclusion if done at right age can prevent extraction or surgery in later stage. General dental practioners are a critical link between patient and orthodontist. This article presents a brief review for general dental practioners about the diagnosis and treatment of class II malocclusion in growing patients using functional appliances.
