LASER is an acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. Lasers are heat producing devices converting electromagnetic energy into thermal energy. Till the date lasers treatment considered to be a remedy in medicine and surgery but now in dentistry as well it considered to be best adjunct treatment modality in oral mucosal lesion. Time to time many lasers were introduced with broad range of therapeutic effects in disorders. Laser have some inadvertent effect also on orodental structures. Insufficient knowledge about unwanted effects of laser light might give rise to overwhelming therapeutics pitfalls. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of clinical application of lasers in oral mucosal lesions.
