Abstract

Ameloblastoma is a benign locally invasive epithelial odontogenic tumour comprising 10% of all tumours arising in the jaws. It is commonly found in the third and fourth decade of life with no gender predilection. The most common site of occurrence being the molar and ramus region of the mandible and only 10% of the cases occurs in the mandibular anterior region. Ameloblastoma has four clinical variants such as, solid/multicystic type, unicystic type, extra osseous type and desmoplastic type. Unicystic ameloblastoma accounts for only 13% of all the known cases in the scientific literature. Among all types of ameloblastoma, multicystic

ameloblastoma is believed to be locally aggressive lesion that has the tendency for recurrence. In this report we present a case of multicystic ameloblastoma in the mandibular anterior region in a young 21-year-old male patient
