Dental treatment has greater impact on clinical outcomes and health of hospitalized patients. Poor oral awareness can possibly lead to malnutrition and infectious diseases, which can have a negative impact on hospitalized patients’ health. Therefore, oral care of such patients is primary duty of nurses.
This study intentional is to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and practices amongst nurses towards the oral health care of chronically ill patients admitted in hospitals of Hassan city, Karnataka.
