Trigeminal Neuralgia also known as Tic Douloureux or Fothergill's disease is one of the most commonly encountered neuralgic pain in a dental set-up. Although the cause is unknown for most of the times, vascular compression of trigeminal nerve roots is one of the most commonly accepted etiology for the same. In some cases, clinical feature of trigeminal neuralgia have been seen secondary to those of other intracranial causes such as epidermoid tumor, multiple sclerosis etc. This is known as secondary trigeminal neuralgia. In this case series, we describe 2 cases of secondary trigeminal neuralgia and discuss the importance of MRI as an essential diagnostic approach in cases of TN.
