Electrosurgery has been used in dentistry for several decades, but the technique is not widely practiced because of certain misconceptions regarding the equipment and healing aspects. This review briefly explains the principles of electrosurgery and attempts to clear the misunderstandings about the potential uses of this cutting edge technology in day to day clinical practices.
