Abstract

Teeth are capable of performing their primary function of mastication only when it is used collectively with the other components of the stomatognathic system collectively known as the masticatory apparatus and should be treated as one unit which is the goal of Gnathology This article discusses gnathology in relation to Optimum oral health, Anatomic harmony, Functional harmony, Occlusal stability for achievement of organic occlusion.
