Solitary Central Osteoma of the Mandible - Rare but There

Central osteomas are referred to as benign neoplasm that occurs almost exclusively in membranous bone. Solitary osteomas are rare in the jaws and uncommon in the facial bones. Skull is where most single osteomas occur, the frontal bone being the site of predilection. Mandibular cases occur in the angle or condyle, followed by the molar area of the mandibular body. Intra-oral cases occur frequently in the lingual molar-premolar area. We present a rare case of solitary central osteoma in the buccal premolar region below the mental nerve above the inferior border not associated with any of the syndromes.
