Abstract

Squamous cell carcinoma of the buccal mucosa (BMSCC) is an uncommon, but aggressive, form of oral cavity cancer, associated with a high rate of locoregional recurrence and poor survival. We report a case of a 60 year old male with left sided buccal mucosal squamous cell carcinoma with nodal metastasis who successfully underwent excision with commando operation and pectoralis major myocutaneous (PMMC) flap reconstruction.
