The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the bond strength of indirect composite inlay to dentin when adhesive resin cement, glass ionomer type I cement and flowable composite were used as luting agents. 30 extracted molar teeth were selected and horizontally sectioned to obtain a flat dentin surface. They were divided into three groups of ten teeth each. A plastic template of 4mm height and 3mm diameter was used for fabricating the composite inlay. In Group I composite was luted to the flat occlusal surface with adhesive resin cement, Group II glass ionomer type I cement was used for luting and in Group III flowable composite was used for luting. All the samples were incubated at 37° C for 24 hours and tested for bond strength in an Universal Testing Machine. RESULTS: showed that mean values of Group I (13.58 ± 3.48) and Group III (13.97 ± 5.71) were significantly higher than the mean value of Group II (2.30 ± 0.98), with the p value < 0.05. There was no significant difference between V Group I and Group III.
