It is always an challenging task to achieve all the goals of complete denture rehabilitation which ranges from function to the preservation of underlying tissues. The impression and artificial occlusion is the key factors for the above mentioned goals. Successfully developed occlusion always direct the masticatory forces in more conducive form to the underlying tissue. Bilateral balanced occlusion is the widely accepted scheme for the complete denture prosthesis, to develop bilateral balanced occlusion semi or fully adjustable articulators are required and the technique is also very complicated. Functional chew in a simple and easy way to develop bilateral balanced occlusion, the case presented shows the step wise rehabilitation of the completely edentulous patient.
