Ameloblastoma is a rare, benign odontogenic epithelial neoplasm, representing 1% of the oral tumours. The name implies a resemblance to cells of the enamel-forming organ. It is a tumour of intermediatemalignant potential which lies in the gray zone between benign and malignant neoplasm. It mayappear as an asymptomatic bulging or a large lesion, perforating the cortical bone, shifting tissue and causing tooth resorption. It is slow growing, locally invasiveand with a high recurrence rate. They may beclassified as solid or multicystic, cystic and peripheral. The mandible is affected four times more than the maxilla and is morefrequent in the posteriorregionof the mandible. Radiographically it shows a well defined unilocular or multilocular radiolucent mass with scalloped margins and multiple septae. This article reports unusual presentation of two cases ofameloblastoma simultaneously involving mandible and maxilla with an emphasis on clinical and radiographic features.
