Abstract

Endodontically treated teeth are widely considered to be more susceptible to fracture than are vital teeth because of dehydration of dentin after endodontic therapy, excessive pressure during obturation, and removal of sound tooth structure. A new kind of resin canal filling material has been found that has properties desirable for root canal filling such as adhesion to dentin, good sealing ability and removability2.
