Abstract

In this modern era of technology and advancement CAD/CAM system has become an increasingly popular part of dentistry as it is a valuable image enhancer, production booster and profit generator. This article discusses the history of CAD/CAM in dentistry and gives an overview of how it works. It also provides information on advantages and disadvantages, describing the various systems available and recent advancements in CAD/CAM technology.
