Biophytum sensitivum is a tristylous, entomophilous, self-incompatible and cross-compatible plant with three floral morphs-long styled, mid styled and short styled. Different accessions of the plant were collected and maintained separately, which showed equal contribution of each morph in the population after one year. The plant shows polymorphism in stamen and pistil length. The nature and size of stamen, anther, pistil and pollen differ and specific for each morph. But the polymorphism is not complete with respect to the shape of pollen grains, nature of exine sculpturing etc.
