The research was carried out during kharif season of 2012–13 to find out the effect of post emergence herbicides on growth and yield of pigeonpea.Beneficial effect due to growth attributing characters of pigeonpea resulted in enhanced yield attributing characters viz., number of pods plant−1, number of seeds plant−1. Maximum values of yield attributes were observed in weed free treatment fallowed by imazethapyr @ 10% SL POE 100 a.i. (g) (1000 ml ha−1) treatment. The seed yield (2402 kg ha−1), straw yield (4794 kg ha−1) of pigeonpea were maximum in weed free treatment fallowed by imazethapyr @ 10% SL POE 100 a.i.(g) (1000 ml ha−1) (2284 kg ha−1) and (4172 kg ha−1), respectively.
