One hundred farm families were randomly selected for demonstration on Nutri-garden. Data were collected by face-to-face interview with the help of food frequency questionnaire. Most of the respondents were middle-aged having small farm size and primary level education. Farm family size ranging between 5–6 members and annual income between Rs. 25000 to 50000. Data regarding vegetables consumption were collected before and after nutri-garden demonstration. The average vegetable consumption per capita per day increased in the farm families was average 235% in Kharif and 167% in Rabi season. Major constraints reported by nutri-gardeners were water scarcity, and damage of garden by animals. It was concluded from the present study that nutri-garden indeed has a positive impact in ensuring the food security among rural population, should be popularized and adopted.
