Abstract

The goal of the current study was to examine the socioeconomic and demographic characteristics of the state of Punjab, as well as the characteristics of new businesses and the factors that influence agribusiness. Primary data were obtained from 200 respondents from Ludhiana. According to the findings, small farmers comprise 29.7 per cent of the sample population. Vegetable farming was the current business of one-fourth of the agripreneurs. At the beginning of the enterprise, 46.3 per cent, used their savings as a source of funding. The respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the government's support for launching agribusiness ventures.
