Efficacy of different botanicals against sclerotinia blight of brinjal field conditions

Abstract

The investigation was carried out in the department of plant pathology, Students Instructional Farm of Bhagwant University, Ajmer, Rajasthan during rabi, 2021-22 to evaluate the efficacy of indigenous materials against sclerotinia rot disease of brinjal under in vivo conditions. The six indigenous materials i. e. Tulsi, Neem, Garlic, Dhatura and Onion extract, were tested against sclerotinia rot pathogen in vivo condition. Minimum 16.98 % disease incidence of was recorded in garlic extract followed by 18.91 % in Neem leaf extract @ 15 % conc. Whereas maximum 26.33% disease incidence was recorded in Onion extract @ 15 % conc. Among five indigenous materials, extract of garlic was found most effective to reducing the sclerotinia rot disease in brinjal.
