The survey was carried out in major pearl millet growing tehsils of Jodhpur district viz., Luni, Bilara, Lohawat, Osian and Shergarh (five villages in each tehsil) to study the incidence of downy mildew of pearl millet in the month of September during kharif, 2022. Per cent disease incidence of downy mildew in Jodhpur district was ranged from 3.2 to 18.2 per cent. Maximum disease incidence (18.2%) was recorded from Shergarh followed by Lohawat (11.8%), Osian (4.4%), Luni (3.8%). However, minimum per cent diseases incidence was recorded from Bilara (3.4%) tehsil during the survey. The experiment of screening of 35 pearl millet germplasms against downy mildew (Sclerospora graminicola) under sick field conditions from ICAR-AICRP on pearl millet, none of the germplasm was found highly resistant against downy mildew disease. Twenty one germplasms viz., IP 18294, 834B, IP 9645, IP 11930, IP 5719-3, IP 6193-2, IP 8418-3, IP 17396-3, IP 18295, IP 9997, ICPMDMBL-1, ICPMDMBL-2, ICPMDMBL-3, ICPMDMBL-5, ICPMDMRL-7, ICPMDMRL-9, ICPMDMRL-10, ICPMDMRL-13, J-2587, J-2588 and J-2598 were considered as resistant (R). Eleven germplasms viz., IP 18292, IP 18293, IP 12374, P 1449-2, TG4, ZG-3, ICPMDMBL-4, ICPMDMBL-6, ICPMDMRL-8, ICPMDMRL-11 and ICPMDMRL-12 were showed categorized as moderately resistant (MR). The germplasm lines IP 18298 and YG8 were showed moderately susceptible (MS) and one germplasm namely 7042 S was highly susceptible (HS).
