Abstract

The tomato fruit borer, Helicoverpa armigera, is a notorious pest causing significant yield losses in tomato crops worldwide. This study investigates the population dynamics of H. armigera using pheromone traps in the Crop Cafeteria of Faculty of Agriculture Sciences, Bhagwant University, Ajmer, during the 2022 and 2023 growing seasons. The research provides insights into the seasonal population patterns of H. armigera, highlighting peak infestation periods and the influence of environmental factors on population fluctuations. The results offer valuable data to enhance integrated pest management (IPM) strategies and minimize tomato yield losses.
