Abstract

The field experiment was conducted during kharif season of 2024 at Research farm, Tantia university, Sri Ganganagar (Raj.). The experiment was carried out in randomized block design (RBD) with nine treatments and three replication comprised of T1: Control; T2: 100% RDF + foliar spray of panchagavya @ 3%; T3: 100% RDF + foliar spray of panchagavya @ 5%; T4: 100% RDF + foliar spray of cow urine @ 5%; T5: 100% RDF + foliar spray of cow urine @ 10 %; T6: 100% RDF + foliar spray of jeevamrut @ 5 %; T7: 100% RDF + foliar spray of jeevamrut @ 10%; T8: 100% RDF + foliar spray of vermiwash @ 5 %; T9: 100% RDF + foliar spray of vermiwash @ 10 % applied twice as foliar spray at 45 and 60 DAS. The results revealed that application of T3 (RDF 100% + foliar spray of panchagavya @ 5% at 45, 60 DAS) significantly increased the growth attributes viz., plant height, number of branches at 60, 90 DAS and at harvest. Similarly, the significantly higher yield attributes viz., number of pods plant-1 (108.49), and test weight (34.13 g). Significantly higher grain yield (12.55 q ha-1), straw yield (27.07 q ha-1) were recorded with application of T3 (100% RDF + foliar spray of panchagavya @ 5% at 45, 60 DAS) compared to T1 (control). Economic analysis revealed that application of T3 (100% RDF + foliar spray of panchagavya @ 5% at 45, 60 DAS) resulted in significantly higher gross return (INR 75660.49), net return (INR 50463.31), and B:C ratio (2.00). In conclusion, the application of T3 (100% RDF + foliar spray of panchagavya @ 5% at 45, 60 DAS) proved to be the most effective in enhancing growth, yield and profitability in cluster bean cultivation.
