Abstract

An experiment entitled “Effect of FYM and Vermicompost on Growth and Yield attributes of Guava (Psidium Guajava L.) cv. Hisar Safeda” conducted in season during the year 2024–25 at the experimental field of Department of Horticulture, faculty of agriculture, tantia university, sri ganganagar District Sri ganganagar, 335001, Rajasthan. The present study aimed to evaluate the Effect of FYM and Vermicompost on growth and yield of Guava. The plants were treated with eight different treatments having three replication of each treatment. The observations were recorded at regular interval. The results of investigation indicated a significant influence on growth and yield of guava.

The maximum Plant Height (3.76 m) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum Number of branches per plant (24.31) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum length of branches (1.17 m) was noted in T8 (FYM 30 kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum Length of fruit (8.3 cm) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum fruit width (7.8 cm) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum Diameter of fruit (7.8 cm) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum number of fruit per branch (4.9) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum number of fruit per plant (13.4) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum average fruit weight (165.7 gm) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum yield per plant (22.21 kg) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg). The maximum yield per hectare (61.74 q) was noted in T8 (FYM 30kg + Vermicompost 10kg).
