Abstract

Study on technology gap of sugarcane was conducted in Bundi district of Rajasthan. The production of sugarcane for last 10–12 years is almost stagnating of about 60 ton/ha. It was found that adoption gap of sugarcane technologies was more in weed control followed by plant protection measures, time of sowing, irrigation, methods of sowing, high yielding varieties & seed rate respectively. The most important constraints faced by the farmers were irregular supply of electricity & canal water for irrigation in the cropping season, low price of produce in comparison to cost of cultivation, lack of confidence about purity of seeds.
