Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Ummedganj, Kota Rajasthan to evaluate the various irrigation scheduling approaches for wheat crop during three consecutive rabi seasons 2004–05, 2005–06 and 2006–07. The treatment included were six irrigation schedules viz; Irrigation at CRI + late tillering + flowering + Dough stage, irrigation at 40 per cent ASM depletion, irrigation at CRI then IW/CPE = 1.0, irrigation at IW/CPE = 1.0, irrigation at CRI + Dough stage and irrigation at 60 per cent ASM Depletion. Maximum grain yield of wheat (45.58 qha−1) was recorded when four irrigations were applied at 40 per cent ASM depletion.
