Abstract

A field experiment was conducted to find out the effect of tillage implements on wheat grain yield, water use efficiency and weed density at Agricultural Research Station, Ummedganj, Kota Rajasthan during two consecutive rabi seasons 2006–07 and 2007–08. Maximum grain yield 51.36 q ha-1 and water use efficiency 20.21 kg ha-1 mm-1 were obtained under cultivator + rotavator operations followed by two operations of rotavator. Weed density and dry weight were also found minimum under cultivator + rotavator operation.
