The present study was conducted in the selected Jaipur district of Rajasthan. There are two tehsils namely Choumu and Amer were selected on the basis of maximum area under cultivation of cluster bean. Five villages from each selected tehsils were taken on the basis of maximum area under cluster bean cultivation. Thus, in all 120 farmers were included in the sample of study. A interview schedule was developed covering all aspects of objectives of the study. The important findings emanating from the study revealed that 50.00 per cent respondents were in the middle age group (36 to 51 years) whereas, 30 per cent and 20 per cent respondents belonged to old (above 51 years) and young age (upto 35 years) group respectively. The study clearly showed that 50.00 per cent of respondents (50.83%) of the total sample were educated up to primary. While, 21.66 per cent were educated upto middle, 4.16 per cent were educated up to secondary, 5.03 per cent were educated upto higher secondary, 1.66 per cent up to graduate and remaining 16.66 per cent were illiterate. The study revealed that majority (50%) of the respondents were of small farmers (upto 2 ha). The data clearly showed that majority of the respondents i.e. 60.84 per cent had medium annual income (between Rs. 26051 to Rs. 43801 per annum) from all the sources in the study area. The study showed that 29.16 per cent respondents had nuclear family. It was noted that majority of the respondents i.e. 37.50 per cent had big family size (above 5 members), while remaining 62.50 per cent respondents were from small family size (up to 5 members). It was found that 50.00 per cent of the total respondents possessed medium level of knowledge while, 33.34 and 16.66 per cent cluster bean growers had low and high level of knowledge about improved cluster bean cultivation technology.
