Association between knowledge and adoption level of improved maize cultivation practices with selected variable of maize growers

Abstract

The study was conducted in four villages of three Panchayat Samities of Udaipur district by interviewing 80 trained and 80 untrained farmers. Thus total sample comprised 160 maize growers. There was significant association between different variables viz., age, education, land holding, family type, family size and social participation with knowledge and adoption of trained, untrained and overall maize growing respondents. One of the attribute of respondents viz., caste was found to be not associated with knowledge adoption level of beneficiary maize growers.
