Abstract

A study was carried out to find out the socio-economic status of the farmers related to on-line communication services in two district Bareilly and Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. About 200 on-line users farmers selected villages were randomly selected for the study. Farmers were interviewed and available information was collected. The study revealed that the on-line information services dominated by those who belonged member who fall under the category of young age group, other backward caste, having intermediate level of education, having nuclear type of family, having middle size of family, small size of holding, farming occupation, pucca housing pattern, medium group farm income, commercial bank source of credit, tub well source of irrigation, member of two organization, mobile phone mass media exposure and tractor trolley transportation material. It means young person are more innovative to take interest in technological wave.
