Statistical analysis of socio-economic and cultural determinants affecting population growth in Rajasthan

The main objective of population policy 2000, in India, isto develop some environment to control the population growth. Population growth rate(PGR).depends upon various socio economic and cultural factors. In this article, a statistical analysis of population growth rate of desert area of Rajasthan (total and rural) which are factorized on various socioeconomic variables, are referred here. The major finding reveals that literacy (LR) rate has influence over population growth rate in desert area of Rajasthan. Results show that, if population policy is implemented effectively and literacy rate be increased then population growth rate may be decreased to great extent in desert area of Rajasthan.
