Identification of Imazethapyr in Biological Materials by Thin-Layer Chromatography

Imazethapyr is an herbicide used in field crops. Easy availability of this compound frequently encountered in forensic case work. The present study deals with the use of thin-layer chromatography for the detection of Imazethapyr in biological materials. Imazethapyr detected on silica gel coated TLC plate, using spray reagent potassium bismuth iodide. This technique is easy and useful in the detection of Imazethapyr in biological materials in routine forensic case study.
