Abstract

In this study, we took 554 random subjects in the adolescent age group of 10–19 years, from various schools and colleges of Patiala out of which there were 305 males and 249 females. We noted the erupted teeth as seen in these subjects on the day of examination. In our study which involved the subjects in the adolescent age group, we studied the sequence and time of eruption of canines, first premolars, second premolars and the second molars which are known to erupt in this age group. The eruptions of third molars were excluded from the study because of the much uncertainty seen with it and often they do not erupt at all. Data thus collected and analyzed statistically.
