Abstract

Disseminated Cysticercosis is an uncommon manifestation of a common disease with only few cases reported worldwide. It is caused by the dissemination of embryos of Taenia solium from the intestine via the hepatoportal system to the tissues and organs of the body. Multiple organs in a post mortem case of a 40 year old prisoner were received for histopathological examination to ascertain the cause of death. On histopathological examination, brain, kidneys, liver and spleen shows evidence of cysticercosis. The case is being published for its rarity.
