Abstract

The authors present a case of unexpected sudden maternal death due to rupture of ectopic pregnancy in a woman in the 8th week of gestation with absent clinical history. In this case, severe bout of morning sickness led to sudden increase in intra-abdominal pressure which led to the rupture of the ectopic gestational sac, resulting in haemorrhage and ultimately death of the patient.
