Abstract

In the current scientific review. we discussed the benefits of insects in criminal investigations and the latest methods and techniques have been developed to gather evidences. The attraction of insects to the decomposed bodies and laying eggs provide a very useful idea for scientists to recognize the postmortem index or interval(PMI).The study of insect populations and the stages of larval development has a significant importance role in recognition whether the location of the corpses has been changed or not and the cause of death. The scientists of Criminal medicine must cooperate with entomologists in the field of forensic investigation, where they have to understand the potential importance of Entomology in criminal sciences.
