Abstract

Female foeticide is an evil which is rapidly spreading in our society. This can only be prevented by multi-pronged attack on it. This includes legislation, education, awareness and sensitization. Apart from the govt. and the NGOs, the medical fraternity especially the forensic medicine specialist can help a lot in preventing female foeticide, fighting it out and thus save the girl child.
