A 27 yrs. old married female committed suicide after consuming aluminium phosphide with in seven months of her marriage. As per history, the deceased was not suffering from any mental ailment. On autopsy examination, multiple old superficial, linear parallel scar marks were found on left forearm along with a fresh non-fatal incised wound which favoured in making the circumstances of the case lucid that the deceased also tried to end her life previously on account of persistent mental strain caused by her in-laws.
