Abstract

A driver’s license is a legal document provided to citizens of a country upon reaching a certain age. It acts as an identification document for the people carrying it which helps to determine whether the person is a citizen of that country or not. Just like other security documents a citizen holds that have security features, a driver’s license also has several security features of its own varying from state to state and country to country, which makes it hard and prevents counterfeiting the document. The citizens who carry these documents are unaware of the reliability characteristics holds.

The main purpose of this paper is to provide information regarding the security characteristics of certain driver’s licenses and to spread awareness about the same.
