Abstract

Hanging, one of the most common methods of suicide all over the world, is highly lethal and more than 70% of those who attempted suicide by using this method would die.1,2 In few cases, if the person is brought down within very short period of suspension and treated vigorously in hospital, there is always a hope for life. The present case report relates to a young adult who attempted to commit suicide by hanging and it is reported here because of rarity of such cases.
