Abstract

This study is aimed to review the benefits and ill effects of pesticides which are being used irrationally in every household starting from mosquito repellents, insect repellents rat poisons, and pesticides in kitchen gardens to pesticides used by the agriculture laborers. Nobody can be spared from exposure to these insecticides which cause so many side effects. Nobody ever notices these because the side effects are slow to appear but the gains of the insecticides are instant. Each one of us should be aware of this and indiscriminate use should be reduced and wherever possible the usage should be avoided. Appropriate training should be given to those who handle them and over the counter sale should be banned.
